Traffic Jam on Miami Beach

LUXE Travellers are able to see an art installation by Leandro Erlich titled “Order of Importance”. The installation is on Miami Beach, for the 2019 Miami Art Festival, and is made up of a life-size traffic jam in the sand — made of sand!

The unique installation features a 21st century traffic jam involving 66 life-sized sculptures of cars and trucks lined up in a standstill. The sand replicas, frozen in time, symbolise a harsh and rigid modernity that is at odds with natural and porous material from which they are made.

The sand sculptures will be left to slowly degrade throughout the duration of the 15-day exhibition.
